The problem
The work was never the issue. Timberland builds cabinetry that people choose on the strength of how it looks, and the website was showing it through small photographs on a layout built for a desktop monitor a decade ago.
On a phone — where most of the traffic was arriving — the site required pinching and sideways scrolling to read anything. The pages were slow enough that a share of visitors left before the first image appeared. There was no obvious way to ask for a quote.
What we did
We rebuilt the site in Next.js, mobile-first, with the photography given the room it needed to do the selling.
The structure was reorganised around the questions people actually arrive with: what does this cost, how long does it take, what does the finished work look like, and how do I start. Every page ends with a way to ask for a quote, and the quote request is short enough that people finish it.
Performance was treated as a feature rather than a cleanup task — images sized and served properly, fonts loaded without blocking, and nothing shipped to the browser that the page did not need.
The result
The site now loads quickly on a phone on a bad connection, reads clearly at every width, and gives every visitor a next step.
